Everyone knows the feeling, you’ve placed a bet and it starts as a winner but you can feel the winds of change approaching. The other team are coming back into the game, has got the wind in their sails and looks to be about to turn the result around.
You can see the change coming, but the bet is placed and even though you wish you could end the game now and take the win, you can’t.
But what if you could? Well, that is what BetMGM Sports are now offering with the introduction of Cash Out.
BetMGM is now giving bettors the option to cash out on selected straight and parlay bets, allowing you to cash out a portion of your winnings before the end of the game you’ve wagered on.
The feature means you can end any bets early that you think may end up losing, allowing you to safeguard your winnings and restrict any potential losses.
Let’s imagine for example that you have staked a $10 pre-game bet on the Jets -2.5 over the Dolphins. This bet and the cash out option can be used in two scenarios.
Option One: At the end of the third quarter, the Jets lead 24-0. As this has increased the chances of a Jets win there may be a cash out option of $16 or so. You can either take this guaranteed amount or let the game play out and take the risk of getting the full amount instead.
Option Two: After the first half, the Jets trail 28-5. This means there is a much lower chance of your original bet winning, meaning a cash out amount of around $3. You can either take this to avoid losing your whole stake or leave it and hope for a turnaround.
