The walking sports encyclopedia
Being part of the Kindred Group – an operator with 11 world-class brands – we have high hopes for this Unibet review. It also means we’re expecting positive answers to questions like “is Unibet legit?” and “is Unibet reliable?”, and the idea of a Unibet scam seems very, very unlikely. However, to stand out in the incredibly competitive online market, you need to be more than just legitimate: you need to be exceptional.
It’s clear that’s what Unibet is trying to achieve with their jack-of-all-trades approach to betting, and we’re fascinated to see whether the momentum they’ve built up since 1999 has finally put them at the front of the online betting pack.
The promotions at Unibet are accessed via a link symbolised by a birthday gift. Well, we’ll be seeing in our Unibet UK review whether they really are a treat, or a Unibet fraud.
We’ll begin with the Welcome Bonus, which offers up to £40 money back and a £10 casino bonus. We really like how the Unibet casino and sportsbook are integrated here. And the way this works is simple: if your first bet loses, you get a refund up to £40.
Of course, there are terms and conditions and this is the first thing you’ll want to check out when using promotions to answer ‘is Unibet legit?’. The terms here exclude horse racing, greyhounds and trotting and have minimum odds of 1.40. They also have a 3x wagering requirement, which we think, considering the size of the bonus, is very reasonable. Most of their competitors have much harsher terms for that kind of bonus.
All in all, very fair terms. And this quality is seen throughout their vast selection. There were several dozen promotions available at the time of writing across Unibet’s sportsbook, casino and poker pages. These include bet boosts, Unibet free bets, best odds guaranteed, refer a friend bonuses and more. With a huge high-quality selection, we would say this part of our Unibet review has been a success.
Is Unibet reliable from a technical standpoint? Considering how reliable all the bookmakers in the Kindred Group are in this regard, we certainly expected so. During our time with Unibet, they not only met these expectations, but exceeded them. The site is expertly laid-out, meaning everything from Unibet how to bet and Unibet how to withdraw money is easy to understand.
While aesthetics are subjective, we felt it was very easy on the eye, with a pleasant grass green colour scheme that we can’t imagine any finding offensive to look at. And in terms of how well the site worked, from the Unibet casino to the Unibet app, we were impressed from start to finish.
One of the most important parts of this Unibet review is checking out the payment methods. This is where we can find out is Unibet legit when it comes to banking, cross out any possibility of a Unibet scam and ensure they have the right payment methods for you.
The options available include debit card, paysafecard, e-wallet (Skrill, PayPal, Neteller), bank transfer, Trustly and Apple Pay. In other words, nothing that would suggest some kind of Unibet scam. We also want to give credit in this part of our Unibet review for the inclusion of so much useful information on these Unibet deposit options in their help section: it really goes some way to us coming up with a positive conclusion to the question ‘is Unibet reliable?’.
All Unibet deposit options are instant, with the exception of bank transfer which can take between 1-3 working days. The minimum amount is £5, with the exception of Paysafecard and Trustly, which is £10. There is no limit either for bank transfer, but this is because it all depends on your bank and Unibet cannot give an answer. Maximum amounts are £10,000 for debit card, Apple Pay and e-wallets, £800 for Paysafecard and £1000 for Trustly.
You can withdraw via most of these methods, with the exception of Apple Pay, Paysafecard and Trustly. Unibet withdrawal times for bank transfers is between 3-5 working days, and have a minimum withdrawal amount of £10. Debit cards are the same, except the minimum is £15 and e-wallets are by far the fastest with 12 hours (they have a minimum amount of £10).
One thing we really appreciated during our research on payment methods was how the customer service options were so clear. Making all the information a customer needs easy to find shows that not only is Unibet reliable but dedicated to great customer service. Unibet deserves credit for their excellent Help section, which is really one of the best we’ve come across and is a hidden highlight of this Unibet review.
Still, no matter how good a Help section is, it’s still vital to have contact options. Thanks to a Unibet free phone number and a 24/7 live chat option, we’re happy to say that they’ve knocked it outta the park in terms of options. The execution is just as good too, as Unibet were quick to respond, helpful, polite and knowledgeable during our time talking to them. Full marks for this part of our Unibet UK review.
Here, we’ll find conclusive answers to questions like ‘is Unibet legit?’, ‘is Unibet legal in the US?’ and ‘is Unibet reliable all-round?’.
Well, let’s start with the bad news. Unibet is not available to US players. We’re not going to mark them down for this though. as this is due to the strict laws of that country rather than any fault on their part.
Everything else in this regard is much, much more positive. They’re licensed by both the UK Gambling Commission and the Gibraltar Gaming Commission, and utilise SSL-encryption to keep your data safe. This means that you don’t have to worry about the site being illegitimate or your details being stolen.
They are also backed by the likes of ECogra, Gamcare, the EGBA, Protect Integrity, Gamban and more, proving they’re doing everything they can to ensure their games are fair and to promote responsible gambling. Of course, we’ve already gone through the payment methods and ensured that they are all secure, and speaking of which, we can also confirm that photographic ID is required to prevent minors from using the site.
Were you really expecting us to uncover a Unibet fraud? Predictably, but happily so, Unibet passed this test with ease.
At the time of writing, there are loyalty schemes both on the poker and bingo parts of the site. This shows just how serious Unibet clearly takes the latter. This is really important because bingo can sometimes be an afterthought for some bookmakers, which is rather unfitting considering its popularity.
Starting with the poker loyalty scheme, you have different poker challenges for which you win points. This allows it to be more creative and interesting than your run-of-the-mill loyalty scheme, providing bonuses for things like getting a certain hand and reaching a flop with only one picture card. Each challenge nets you different levels of points, extra cash, poker tickets and more.
Similarly, buying lottery tickets also gets you the opportunity to play side games to top up your loyalty metre. Whenever you reach a new loyalty level, you get a spin on the loyalty wheel, where you are guaranteed some kind of prize, from cash to luxury trips.
While Unibet could be clearer in terms of the value of each set of points, this is certainly no Unibet scam. They do seem to genuinely offer great value in comparison to their competitors. On top of that, they deserve extra credit for the obvious creativity they’ve shown.

While Unibet is rightfully making waves as a wonderful jack-of-all-trades betting site – as you can tell throughout this Unibet UK review – there remains no more important element to their business than Unibet betting on sports. After all, this is where you land when you first head onto the Unibet site and ultimately, this is where so much of their reputation is made.
Considering their credentials as part of the ever reliable and high-quality Kindred Group, Unibet unsurprisingly has a frankly awesome selection of sports available. All the classics are here, from the Premier League, NBA, NFL all the way to more obscure and lower leagues.
This provides an expansive selection of sports alongside a huge amount of variety within those sports. You can bet on the amount of corners taken in a game between two Division 2 sides, just as you can bet on the winner of the World Cup, for instance. And considering that variety is the spice of life, we view that as a great thing.
We know we’ve brought it up during this Unibet review, but as they’re part of such an elite group of bookmakers, there was never much chance of Unibet having anything less than excellent odds. And indeed they do, not just on major sports but consistently throughout their expansive selection of sports options. There’s no Unibet scam here, just world-class quality throughout.
While we don’t want to talk down smaller bookmakers – many do an excellent job with limited resources – we can’t deny that there are certain benefits to being a bigger name like Unibet. One of these is the inclusion of live streaming, which beautifully compliments Unibet’s excellent live Unibet betting product. There’s vast options for both, which also amounts to what is likely the best example of their brilliant web design as well.
The betting limits on the sportsbook is based on two key factors: the individual market and your personal account. In other words, it all depends both on the maximum bet amount on that particular market – remember the bookmaker, just like you, has calculated a maximum amount they are willing to risk – as well as whether your account has any limits. Rest assured though, the general limits are usually far too high to be of any concern.
We came into this Unibet review having especially high hopes for the sportsbook and we’re delighted to say they’ve exceeded them. This is an excellent product, with a lot of variety, professionalism and quality throughout. We doubt even the most pernickety sportsbook fan would find much to complain about here.
Just like the sportsbook, the Unibet casino has big expectations to meet. Being such a big name means people expect the best software, variety, design, promotions and more. Most importantly, they want to be reassured that a site doing as much as Unibet isn’t simply paying lip service to these different gambling elements. Well, our Unibet UK review will see if they can put their money where their mouth is.
If software is the first hurdle, then the Unibet casino is off to a blistering start. You’ll find the biggest names in online gaming here, including NetEnt, WMS, MicroGaming, Quickfire and more. Not only does this mean you can get an incredible amount of games, but you also benefit from the versatility and creativity of the best minds in the industry. Absolutely world-class stuff.

All those great software developers means an awesome amount of games. We’re talking about more than 1,000 slots here, with new games appearing all the time and some of the biggest and best names in the industry from Starburst to Book of Dead. There’s also Daily Drops and Wins, huge jackpots, video poker and dozens of table and cards games.
The only minor criticism is the slot selection is so great, that it can create unrealistic expectations elsewhere. Other than that, we have no complaints.

The limits at Unibet entirely depend on the game you’re playing and range from pennies to hundreds of thousands of pounds, and more in the case of jackpots. Finding out the limit of any particular game is easy. When you look up the list of games for table games, it’s clearly displayed below the game. Right now, for instance, we can see for the benefit of our Unibet review that Roulette Lobby has a limit range of 10p to £200,000.
Slots require you to check out additional information or just find out by heading into the game itself, but a similarly wide range can be expected. For instance, in Bonanza, you can choose between 20p and £20 per spin.
Once again in our Unibet UK review we’ve seen that, far from being a Unibet scam, the casino has once again reaffirmed Unibet’s place as one of the premier betting sites around. From slot games to table games, and even the live casino, their quality shows no signs of shaking. We only have one more section to look at but right now, Unibet is riding high.
Unibet are not best known for poker but considering just how well they’ve held up throughout this Unibet review so far, we’re going into our final section feeling very hopeful indeed.
The software used by the Unibet poker site is very impressive. For starters, it’s available both in your browser or as a downloadable version, making it much more adaptable than many of their competitors. On top of that, it has amazing 3D graphics, which really brings things to life.
From a technical standpoint, it’s all fast-paced, smooth and intuitive, with enough depth for experts and is straightforward enough for newcomers. In other words, it’s exactly what you want out of your Unibet poker experience.
There are three key types of poker at Unibet, including the classic and extremely popular Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Banzai.
The rake percentage depends on the cash in the game and the game being played. For example, on Banzai, the rake is consistently 1% and caps at €3, whereas with Texas Hold’Em, it ranges from 1 to 6% and a cap of €1-3.
A full list of poker rake and tournament fees, can be found on the site. Speaking of tournaments…
One of the great things about having such a large install base is that it allows you to put on a wide variety of tournaments for all skills and interest levels. This means that Unibet benefits from tournaments perfect for beginners to experts, as well as plenty of options for those looking to sharpen their skills and gain some experience without putting down huge sums of money.
For Texas Hold’Em, the pot limits vary between NL4 and NL400, so quite a lot of scope there. Omaha ranges between PL04 and PL0400, and Banzai also has a range of limits. It’s all straightforward and varied enough but keep in mind that different limits tend to attract different players, although that is very much to Unibet’s strength.
This was the last big hurdle for Unibet and it’s no disappointment. Like everything else we’ve looked at in our Unibet review, the level of quality is absolutely top-notch, proving that they really do have what it takes to be the kind of betting site you can recommend to the overwhelming majority of bettors.
It’s consistency which really makes Unibet something special. Plenty of betting sites can do one or two things very well, but being able to essentially have a dedicated part of a betting site for all of the major betting disciplines and have each one of them be world-class brings together something that is truly, truly exceptional. Unibet had quite the reputation to live up to, and they’ve knocked it out of the park.
